Born at 1,800 meters altitude.
Black Atlas® is quarried from the metamorphic limestone massifs of Azilal province, in the Moroccan High Atlas. Its mineralogical composition — very high-concentration pure calcite — gives it an absolute black hue, homogeneous across the whole block.
It is this geological rarity, combined with our mastery of diamond-wire extraction, that guarantees clean blocks free of microfractures, with remarkable consistency from lot to lot.
