Marbreux — Our Story
Direct producers.
From the source.
MARBREUX is an integrated Moroccan company active in the extraction, processing and export of Black Atlas® absolute black marble. We are not a reseller. We are producers, from the first metre of drilling to the container loaded at the port of Casablanca.
Our Identity
An integrated Moroccan group, from quarry to port.
Built on more than two decades of experience in Morocco's natural stone sector, MARBREUX was created to structure and internationalize the High Atlas black marble industry — a rare geological resource, long undervalued on world markets.
Our model relies on full vertical integration: we extract, process and export. This intermediary-free chain lets us guarantee quality at every stage, offer competitive prices and ensure reliable lead times for our international clients.
Today, our group operates three active quarries in the High Atlas, with a monthly capacity of 1,080 tonnes, and serves clients in over 40 countries across five continents.
Timeline
Our history.
From geological exploration to international export — the milestones that built MARBREUX.
First exploration work — High Atlas
Identification of the first black metamorphic limestone deposits in the High Atlas massif. Mineralogical analysis confirms exceptional purity — over 97% calcite, an absolutely black hue, free of veins or inclusions.
First mining concessions obtained
Operating licence granted by the competent Moroccan authorities. Opening of the first extraction site. First sawing lines set up right next to the quarry.
Export launch — first containers to Europe
First FOB Casablanca shipment to Northern Europe. Black Atlas® starts building a reputation among Italian, Belgian and Dutch natural stone traders. Commercial office opened in Casablanca.
Expansion — 2nd and 3rd quarries, capacity increase
Opening of two new extraction sites, bringing the concession area to 52,326 m². Investment in automated sawing equipment. Monthly capacity reaches 1,080 tonnes of raw-block equivalent.
Black Atlas® brand — international premium positioning
Creation and registration of the Black Atlas® brand. Development of a structured offering: raw blocks, slabs, finished products, decorative aggregate. Entry into Gulf and North American markets.
Commercial overhaul & export digitalization
Restructuring of the export offering with market segmentation (funerary, landscaping, architecture). Launch of the new marbreux.ma digital platform. Consolidated presence in over 40 countries.

What Defines Us
Our commitments.
Uncompromising quality
Every block is visually selected at the quarry. Every slab is dimensionally checked in the workshop before packaging. On request, we submit our products to approved laboratory tests: compressive strength, water absorption, density, slip resistance.
Full traceability
From the quarry face to final delivery, every lot is referenced and traced. Our clients can know the exact origin of their material, the extraction site, the production date and quality control results. This transparency is the foundation of our export credibility.
Reliable lead times
Our integrated structure — extraction, processing and export under one roof — lets us absorb demand fluctuations without disruption. We commit to volumes and lead times, and we honour them. This is what distinguishes a supplier from a mere seller.
Environmental responsibility
Our operations comply with Moroccan mining and environmental regulations. We invest in the progressive rehabilitation of depleted quarry faces, noise reduction and the valorization of production residues — notably through our decorative aggregate range.
"The black marble of the High Atlas deserved a distributor worthy of its rarity. We decided to be that distributor."
